Telangana’s urban districts record less than 10℃; lowest of 5.6℃ in Sangareddy

People in urban areas of Telangana experienced colder weather conditions with minimum temperatures dropping below 10°C. The lowest temperature in Ranga Reddy was 7.4°C recorded at Serlingampally and 8.8°C at Uppal of Medchal Malkajgiri between Thursday and Friday morning, January 8, 2026. According to Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), the minimum temperature in Maredpally in Hyderabad was 11.2 degrees.
The lowest temperature in the state was 5.6°C at Kohir in Sangareddy, followed by 6.0°C at Tiryani in Kumaram Bheem Asifabad and 7.4°C at Rangareddy. The lowest temperature this winter was recorded in December with 4.5°C.

The minimum temperature in the state is expected to be 2 to 4 degrees below normal for the next two days, according to the weather bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department on Thursday. “Fog or misty conditions are likely to prevail in the morning or night hours,” according to the ministry’s 48-hour forecast for Hyderabad and surrounding areas.
