Barron Trump ‘takes voice lessons’ as he ‘wants to sound more American | World | News

Donald Trump’s son Barron Trump is reportedly taking lessons to change his Slovenian accent to become more confident. According to renowned journalist Rob Shuter, 19-year-old Barron has been quietly trying to change his accent to sound “more like his American peers.” Shuter reportedly met with unnamed people at the White House, according to the Daily Mail.
He said: “Barron is very focused on how he presents himself right now.” The source also added that the young adult “wants to be confident when speaking.”
At the age of four, Barron appeared in a viral video showing him speaking English with a strong Slovenian accent. He was reportedly raised primarily by Melania and her parents Amalija Knavs and Viktor Knavs, which means he adopted an accent similar to theirs.
He became more prominent during President Trump’s final campaign in 2024, but remains more reserved than his older siblings, especially Donald Jr and Eric. The Daily Mail also analyzed multiple videos of the president with his son over the years to reveal how his voice has evolved.
During his father’s first presidency, the youngest son remained largely out of the public spotlight. Her mother, Melania, who was born in Slovenia, is fiercely protective of her privacy.
Last month, a MAGA-aligned influencer was reportedly outraged after she revealed details of a private conversation with Barron on a widely followed podcast. He is also said to have warned influencers who photographed him at Mar-a-Lago over the Christmas period that they could be removed from the club.
The reason for his efforts may be linked to his recent involvement in politics. Barron has been credited in part with helping Trump win votes among young men by recommending that his father engage with them through modern media formats, including podcasts such as the Joe Rogan Experience, which Trump joined in October 2024. Will Donahue, president of the College Republicans of America, said in February that his organization would welcome the president’s son into its leadership ranks.
