Trump also reposted comments from Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who reiterated his strong support for the protesters and praised Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s support for the Iranian people. Graham compared the current administration’s stance to previous US policies, suggesting that the government will not remain silent in the face of pressure from the Iranian leadership.
Graham warned Iranian officials that continued violence against civilians would have consequences and declared that their efforts to suppress public dissent would not go unanswered.
