Meanwhile, Iran’s top cyberspace official announced on Monday that access to the global internet will remain limited in the country until authorities are satisfied that full security has been restored, amid widespread anti-government rallies sparked by rising inflation, economic difficulties and growing public anger at the administration, Iran’s state broadcaster Press TV reported.

According to Press TV’s news, based on the President of Iran’s National Cyberspace Center, Mohammed Amin Akamiri, the internet blackout imposed on January 9 due to widespread unrest in many provinces will continue for now.
