Minister refuses to rule out wealth tax | News

Labour’s Transport Secretary Hedi Alexander refused to ignore a reserve tax when it was pressed whether it was taken into consideration.

“As a government, we have always been clear that those who have the largest shoulders should carry the largest burden,” the Minister said. Sky News Tuesday morning (July 8).

Alexander added that the scrap of the domestic tax status is an example of the measures taken for tax in the best case as well as to apply VAT to private school fees and bring higher taxes to special jets.

“Even if you were born elsewhere, but even if you live in the UK, we believe that you should pay your fair tax share,” he said.
