Linda Noskova won her first Wimbledon title in style by coming back in a dramatic third set after missing five match points in the second set.
The 21-year-old was making her first Grand Slam final appearance at SW19 against fellow Czech and 2023 French Open finalist Carolina Muchova.
But after taking a commanding 6-2, 5-2 lead, tempers appeared to clear as Muchova hit back to seal the women’s result.
But with admirable courage, Noskova made quick work of the final set before bursting into tears on Center Court.

Hannah’s new man Nick is a Consultant Spine Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and King Edward VII Hospital, specializing in both elective and emergency spine surgeries.
He started his career with a degree in mechanical engineering from UCL but later switched to medicine.
His training includes a degree in Medicine from the University of Edinburgh and a specialization in Trauma and Orthopedics at Oxford.

Hannah became a single mother when her relationship with partner Gianluca Cugnetto broke down when her daughters were two, and has since remained focused on her life with Kitty, now 11.
“It took me eight years,” Hannah admitted to the magazine when asked about starting a new relationship. ‘I really didn’t have room for it mentally or emotionally.
‘I crouched down and focused on my daughter and myself. [But] I’m ready to put my head a little higher over the railing now.’
When asked if ‘this is a lovely looking scarecrow’, Hannah laughed and confirmed ‘it is’.
‘And frankly my relationship is very nice too. But the best part of this is that I am happy and strong within myself first.’
