Infosys attrition drops to 12.3% in Q3 results — Is a wage hike on cards? What CFO said

IT giant Infosys announced the financial results for the quarter ending December 31, 2025 on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. In addition to earnings, the company also shared updates on staff loss, total number of employees and possible wage increases.

Attrition rate

The IT giant’s voluntary attrition rate fell to 12.3% in the third quarter of 2025-26, compared to 13.7% in the same quarter of the previous financial year. On a quarter-on-quarter basis (quarter-on-quarter), Infosys’ attrition rate fell by 2% in Q3 compared to Q2 of the current fiscal.

Infosys’ headcount increased by 5,043. Talking about the numbers, Infosys CEO Salil Parekh said, “I think it shows that we are confident in where the market is and what we are seeing in terms of demand.”

On recruitment, Parekh said, “We will be recruiting on campus. And this year we have hired 18,000-20,000 people, we will continue in this kind of range next year due to new areas of demand.”

Update on wage increase

No decision has been made regarding the company’s wage increase. The last wage cycle, which ended in January, had two parts. Decisions for the next five years will be made over time.

“So we just completed one cycle of our salary in January, which was in two parts. We haven’t decided yet. We will decide as we progress for the next five years,” CFO Jayesh Sanghrajka said.
