The Prince and Princess of Wales recently made a bold move that could be effective against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s reported “plot” to reestablish themselves in Britain, a royal commentator has claimed. Prince Willian and Princess Catherine have hired crisis management expert Liza Ravenscroft on a non-crisis role to work on daily press interaction.
Ms. Ravenscroft was reportedly recommended by Julian Payne, former communications secretary to Charles and Queen Camilla and current CEO of Edelman. A source said mail on sunday: “It is hardly a coincidence that one of the most senior and respected members of staff has taken on a key role in William’s office following a period of upheaval and a period in which Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace sought closer harmony as minds turned to William’s eventual succession.”
Now, the royal commentator has weighed in on the couple’s bold move and explained how it could help them in the future as Harry and Meghan prepare to roll out their founding “plan” to win back the public’s affection.

The Sussexes are awaiting a reassessment of security levels in the UK, six years after they left the Firm for a new life in America.
The Royal and VIP Executive Committee (Ravec) will reassess Harry’s threat level for the first time in six years and present its findings in the coming weeks.
If the situation works out in the Sussexes’ favour, their armed police security, funded by double taxation, would be returned and they would likely visit the UK more frequently.
‘Daily Mail’Diary Editor Richard Eden claimed there was a reason for William and Catherine’s new hire.
He said: “His [Ms Ravenscroft’s] CV emphasizes that he tells companies ‘how to overcome a problem as quickly as possible with the least damage… These are mostly front-page topics: from boycott campaigns to sexual allegations, serious security issues, geopolitical and ethical risks’.
“But everyone at Kensington Palace is desperately keen to emphasize that he was hired not just for his experience of dealing with crises but for his overall abilities as a communications professional.”
A source said: “Liza is involved in a non-crisis role at the KP press office and is working on Kensington Palace’s daily press engagement.
“People working in communications for the Royal Household come from a variety of backgrounds.”
But the royal commentator suggested the Welsh might have known “there could be trouble ahead”.
He said recent stories about the Sussexes’ return to Britain “served to put pressure on the King and the rest of the Royal Family to roll out the red carpet for the Sussexes, even though the California-based couple have never apologized for their disgraceful attacks.”
Mr Eden also claimed this “PR blitz” was part of the scheme’s “plot” to allegedly win Harry and Meghan “the affection of the British public”.
“So, while Liza Ravenscroft’s new role at Kensington Palace is a ‘non-crisis’ role for now, it may not be long before she needs all the skills she’s acquired dealing with disasters in the corporate world,” he concluded.
