NIGEL FARAGE: Reform is now the home for all conservative minded people. The turquoise tsunami is coming!

This week we witnessed a truly shocking moment in British politics.
I firmly believe that in the coming years Robert Jenrick’s decision to join Reform UK will be seen as the day the British centre-right came back into line: when Reform UK became the primary home for conservative-minded people across the country.
I also believe that this will be seen as the moment that signaled the end of the Conservative Party’s viability as a credible political force.
As Robert so rightly put it at our press conference on Thursday, the vast majority of senior Conservatives do not believe Britain is broken. They think we should just muddle along and continue our country’s inexorable decline into a place where nothing works anymore.
With all due respect, these people are either completely delusional or, more likely, unwilling to admit the mess they have made after 14 years of government. Either way, it is clear that they are not the party that will save Britain from the socialist nightmare we are enduring under a Labor government.
Those of us who accept that Britain is truly broken are the only ones who can bring about the radical change that is needed.
This means leaving the European Court of Human Rights so it can deport foreign criminals and put the rights of British people first.
This means being unashamedly pro-business and entrepreneurship, and implementing measures that will make the rich want to return here and businesses want to invest.
Robert Jenrick shakes hands with Reform UK leader Nigel Farage after announcing he has joined Reform
“I firmly believe that in years to come Robert Jenrick’s decision to join Reform UK will be seen as the day the British centre-right came back into order,” said Nigel Farage.
The Conservatives claim to be the party of business; But who decided to eliminate the ‘non-dom’ regime that caused thousands of high-spending, high-tax-paying residents to flee the country?
Who decided to shackle the North Sea energy companies with crazy taxes that stifle investment and reduce employment? These were introduced under Conservative Chancellor Jeremy Hunt, who as a businessman should know better than anyone that punishing wealth and success only drives investment away.
But the truth is that the Conservative Party abandoned its core principles years ago. Instead, we are left with a rather sodden bunch of MPs, most of whom are nominally Liberal Democrats.
Look at their record in 14 years of government. For years the Conservatives have promised to solve the immigration problem. Conclusion? Net migration rose to record figures for hours. They assured us they would reform the welfare system, but this has resulted in the system rising to completely unsustainable levels. They have repeatedly promised to lower taxes. Of course, when they were finally kicked out of government, taxes were at the highest level since World War II.
Voters are not as stupid as the Conservatives think. They see this lie. That’s why thousands of people have joined Reform UK and are part of its 271,000 paid membership, while the number of Conservatives has fallen to less than half that.
Fiercely defending his choice, Mr Jenrick said: ‘If we don’t get the next government right, Britain is likely to be beyond repair.’
Mr Jenrick is currently one of six Reform MPs in the House of Commons, alongside Mr Farage, Richard Tice, Lee Anderson, Sarah Pochin and Danny Kruger.
They realize that Reform UK has assembled a team to repair a broken Britain. The local elections on May 7 are the most important development before the next General Election. We will contest every available council seat. We will go all out and set out our plans for law and order, the cost of living and tackling immigration over the next four months.
Meanwhile, the Conservative Party led by Kemi Badenoch will continue to shrink until the local elections; I can easily say that they will disappear there. As I have been predicting for a while, they will cease to be a national party on the morning of May 8.
Now, I am well aware that there will still be traditional Tory supporters who still have an emotional attachment to the party, some of whom are undoubtedly Daily Mail readers.
After years of putting a staunch ‘X’ next to the Conservative candidate, their pen will temporarily hover over the ballot paper on May 7.
To those honest, patriotic people I say this: They do not deserve your loyalty. The Conservative Party brought this disaster upon itself.
What you saw this week in the high-profile Conservative Party defection to Reform England (first Nadhim Zahawi, then Robert Jenrick) was not a split or a split. Quite the opposite.
What we saw was the coming together of a centre-right alliance that would go on to win the next election.
For any Conservative Members of Parliament or former Members of Parliament or councilors who are interested in being part of this exciting new political revolution, I want to make it clear that we are not here to support people’s careers.
We are here for those who want to put their shoulders to the wheel and help us save the country. Then let me give you an ultimatum. If you want to come and join us, you have until May 7th. After that we won’t need you and we won’t want you. Because make no mistake, the turquoise tsunami is coming from both sides.
Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK
