Teenagers, 15 and 17, arrested after man, 54, stabbed at Bondi Beach

Two young men were detained following the machete attack on Bondi Beach.
NSW Police were called to the area around 9.15pm on Friday night, where Gould St. found a 54-year-old man stabbed on nearby Glasgow Ave.
The man suffered upper-body injuries and was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a “serious but stable condition”.
Witnesses told police that the man was stabbed with a machete following an “altercation” with two unidentified children.
Photos taken from the scene show members of the public helping the 54-year-old man as emergency services arrived and applied a tourniquet to his left arm.
Following the incident, a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old were arrested on Beach Rd, which runs parallel to Glasgow Avenue.
No charges have been filed and police said the investigation is ongoing.

The location is just a few hundred meters from Bondi Park, where 15 people were killed in an allegedly ISIS-inspired terrorist attack at the Jewish Hanukkah event on December 14.
The alleged gunman, Naveed Akram, is charged with 15 counts of murder and 50 counts of attempted murder.
He will return to court next month.
