Marc Guehi transfer news: Crystal Palace defender set for Manchester City medical

Crystal Palace £20m transfer of defender Marc Guehi Manchester City The England international is making progress, with the team due for a medical on Sunday.

Guehi, 25, has already agreed personal terms with the Blues.

City started negotiations with Guehi this month after the injuries of defenders Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias.

The Palace captain, who has been linked with some of Europe’s top clubs, is out of contract this summer and was close to a move to Liverpool last summer.

Guehi led the South London club to their first major trophy in their history with victory over City in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

The Chelsea academy product has made 188 appearances for Palace since joining from Swansea in 2020, with 33 of those appearances coming this season as his side embark on their first Europa Conference League campaign.

The transfer is thought to be the catalyst for Palace boss Oliver Glasner’s announcement on Friday that he will leave the club at the end of the season.

City signed Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth for £62.5 million this month.
