Appearing on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Thursday, White was asked about Gaethje’s claim. UFC324 media day that Paramount+ has not increased the promotion’s pay during its post-pay-per-view period. According to White, Gaethje was offered more money and it’s his fault he wasn’t given a raise.

“We totally searched,” White said. “We’ve got some really smart kids that can get it down to the single digits, like pay-per-view, how close to paying (fighters) is going to be. And Gaethje, without getting into all that stuff, Gaethje was offered more money and Gaethje never responded. We’re good.”
Gaethje has yet to respond to White’s unanswered offer claim. Gaethje’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz of Dominance MMA, did not immediately respond to MMA Junkie’s request for comment
UFC 324 marks the beginning of the UFC’s Paramount streaming deal, and with it comes the end of pay-per-view, as numbered events are included in the Paramount+ subscription. The change in approach resulted in the UFC having to re-negotiate deals with pay-per-view rated athletes.

Additionally, White has said multiple times that fighter salaries and bonuses will increase, but the UFC boss has been unclear on when those increases will occur or by how much.
