Palaash Muchhal in trouble: What is the cheating complaint about?
Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana’s childhood friend and film financier Vaibhav Mane claimed that he met Palaash Muchhal in Sangli and was introduced to him by Smriti’s father Srinivas. He claimed that Muchhal took money from him to shoot films. He claimed that Muchhal asked him to invest in the film Nazariya with the promise of an early OTT release and the investment would return soon. However, when his film failed to materialise, he did not return the money taken from him. He shared that documents confirming his claim were presented to the Chief of Police.
In his complaint, Vaibhav told the police that the film was never completed and the director had promised to repay him before blocking him. After waiting for months, he approached the Sangli police to file a financial fraud case.
When Palaash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana canceled their wedding
Palaash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana had officially called off their wedding. Originally scheduled for November 23, 2025, the ceremony was first postponed and then permanently canceled in early December 2025 due to urgent health issues in both families. After weeks of speculation, both released statements confirming the split. While Smriti said she “needed to clarify that the wedding was cancelled” and requested privacy, Palaash, who has been accused of cheating, wrote: “I have decided to move on with my life and step back from my personal relationship. It has been very difficult for me to see people react so easily to baseless rumors about something that is most sacred to me. This is the most difficult phase of my life and I will handle it gracefully by staying true to my beliefs.”
