Not invited to watch Macron PMQs
Independent’s political correspondent Millie Cooke Reports:
Emmanuel Macron, who has been in England for an official state visit since yesterday, is not invited to PMQs today.
The French President addressed the parliament yesterday – here, Britain and France, “the burden of European security should shoulder,” he said.
However, instead of being invited to watch the weekly conflict between Sir Keir Starmer and Kemi Badenoch, Mr. Macron will be waiting for a bilateral meeting with the UK PM, which will take place at 13.15.
When the Prime Minister offers difficult questions about the state of public finances and the hold of British on the borders of British, there is a high chance that Sir Keir is not extremely enthusiastic for the French President to sit in the audience.

“No doctor wants to strike and these strikes do not need to continue. If Mr. Streeting can come to the table seriously in the next two weeks, we can be sure that there is no interruption. The government knows what is necessary to prevent strikes.”
