Storm Chandra: UK braces for wind and rain as weather warnings issued

Storm Chandra hits hard on the heels of Goretti and Ingrid, bringing further downpours with little time for the water to flow and the rivers to fully recover.

Continued rain really increases the risk of flooding.

Wind will also pose a threat as strong winds from Goretti and Ingrid affect parts of the UK this month, particularly south-west England.

As a result, many structures may have been weakened, leaving trees and power lines vulnerable.
