Saudi Arabia helicopter crash kills all 14 on board

14 people were killed when a helicopter crashed in Saudi Arabia, state media reported Sunday.

The helicopter belonging to state oil giant Aramco crashed in the eastern coastal city of Ras Tanura at 06:00 local time (03:00 GMT), according to the Saudi Press Agency.

It was reported that all 14 victims were Saudi citizens and investigations were ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.

Aramco did not immediately comment.

The Saudi energy ministry shared its condolences with the families of the victims.

Ras Tanura is home to a major Aramco oil refinery, one of the largest in the Middle East.

The company resumed loading crude oil into the field on Friday after a nearly four-month break due to the war in the Middle East, Reuters news agency reported.
