‘My son just shot me;’ Woman injured in shooting at Harrison Twp. apartment complex

Officers are investigating a shooting that occurred early Monday morning at a local apartment complex.

According to the Montgomery County District Clerk, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the 4100 block of Indian Runn Drive in Harrison County around 1:30 a.m.

In News Center 7’s 911 call, a woman can be heard saying, “My son shot me.”

The police officer can be heard asking the woman where she was shot, and the woman saying, “In my leg and back.”

He also told the officer that his son had shot his cat.

The woman told the officer that her son had shot her three to four times.

When deputies arrived on scene, they “encountered and secured” a man at the front door of the residence. A gun was lying on the ground next to him, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

The victim was found in the apartment with multiple gunshot wounds but was conscious and talking.

He was transported to a local hospital and is in “serious but stable” condition.

Detectives interviewed the man and later booked him into the Montgomery County Jail on a charge of aggravated assault.

The investigation into the armed attack continues.
