Royal fans say Princess Charlotte is starting to look like her father Prince William after a stunning new photo of the young royal was released to celebrate her 11th birthday today.

As he grew older, the 11-year-old boy repeatedly met the young Queen Elizabeth II. She has been compared to Elizabeth and fans have gone wild over her striking resemblance to her great-grandmother.

Royal fans went wild in 2021 after the Prince and Princess of Wales posted a family portrait taken on a secret trip to Jordan, with many comparing the then-six-year-old’s uncanny resemblance to the late monarch.

A year ago, many were quick to compare Princess Charlotte to the Queen after Prince William and Princess Catherine shared their 2020 Christmas card with all three of their children sitting on haystacks in front of firewood.

But although royal fans have been drawing comparisons between Charlotte and her great-grandmother for years, many have noticed how much the young princess looks like her father after her latest birthday photo was released.

One person who went to X wrote: ‘Oh my god! William’s genes [sic] They are expressing themselves at 11 years old! Happy birthday, Charlotte!’

One user commented: ‘He really looks like William’, while another wrote: ‘Oh my god! He is the image of his father. Happy birthday Charlotte!

‘HE [sic] ‘He looks more like his father with each passing year,’ while a fourth chimed in, with one writing: ‘Princess Charlotte looks a lot like her father Prince William.’

Following the release of her latest birthday photo, royal fans began pointing out Princess Charlotte’s striking resemblance to Prince William.

This comes after a stunning new photo of Princess Charlotte was released earlier today to celebrate her 11th birthday.

The striking portrait shared on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ official social media account offers a rare insight into the young princess’ life.

Charlotte is seen wearing a black and red outfit with a wide smile. overalls and blue jeansSurrounded by flowers and trees. The photo was taken by the couple’s trusted photographer, Matt Porteous, during the family’s Easter holiday to Cornwall last month.

The Prince and Princess of Wales accompanied the message with a birthday cake emoji, writing, “Happy 11th birthday Charlotte!” wrote.

It’s a tribute to the youngster’s love of nature, as he was seen grinning happily and windy as he enjoyed the outdoors with his mother in last year’s photo.

Although many have noted his growing resemblance to William, his long, wavy hair more closely resembles his mother Kate, who has traditionally taken charge of her children’s birthday photos in recent years.

It’s the second new photo that princess royal fans have been treated to in recent days, after the Welshmen shared a touching family photo to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary on Wednesday.

In this shot, Charlotte was seen smiling with her younger brother Prince Louis and his mother as the family enjoyed lounging in the sun during their trip to Cornwall.

In today’s photo, she could be seen wearing the same ivy blue nail polish as in the family photo.

Charlotte is third in line to the throne and is set to one day become Princess Crown, following in the footsteps of her great-aunt Princess Anne, with many feeling she would be the natural successor to the role.

Charlotte, who was born in 2015, became the first British princess to rank higher than a younger brother due to changes to the rules of succession in 2013 that meant male heirs no longer took precedence over female heirs.

Her full name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana and she was born at 8.34am on 2 May 2015 in the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London, weighing a very healthy 8lb 3oz.

At such a young age, he already has a fan base, thanks in part to his seemingly effortless etiquette on the global stage.

He’s already won hearts by often taking charge of his brothers at public events, especially his younger brother Prince Louis, who turns eight on April 23.

Princess Charlotte made her last public appearance on Easter Sunday when she joined senior royals for the traditional ceremony at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

They put on a sweet mother-daughter show as they were seen leaving the service holding hands with Princess Catherine.

They also wore matching outfits; Catherine opted for a cream two-piece suit from Self-Portrait, with a brown leather bag and matching heels.

Her ensemble was completed with Charlotte’s camel coat with brown velvet accents, which she paired with a beautiful white dress and a sleek pair of black heels.
