Royal fans say Princess Charlotte is starting to look like her father Prince William after a stunning new photo of the young royal was released to celebrate her 11th birthday today.

One user commented: ‘He really looks like William’, while another wrote: ‘Oh my god! He is the image of his father. Happy birthday Charlotte!

‘HE [sic] ‘He looks more like his father with each passing year,’ while a fourth chimed in, with one writing: ‘Princess Charlotte looks a lot like her father Prince William.’

The striking portrait shared on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ official social media account offers a rare insight into the young princess’ life.

Charlotte is seen wearing a black and red outfit with a wide smile. overalls and blue jeansSurrounded by flowers and trees. The photo was taken by the couple’s trusted photographer, Matt Porteous, during the family’s Easter holiday to Cornwall last month.

The Prince and Princess of Wales accompanied the message with a birthday cake emoji, writing, “Happy 11th birthday Charlotte!” wrote.

It’s a tribute to the youngster’s love of nature, as he was seen grinning happily and windy as he enjoyed the outdoors with his mother in last year’s photo.

Although many have noted his growing resemblance to William, his long, wavy hair more closely resembles his mother Kate, who has traditionally taken charge of her children’s birthday photos in recent years.

It’s the second new photo that princess royal fans have been treated to in recent days, after the Welshmen shared a touching family photo to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary on Wednesday.

Her ensemble was completed with Charlotte’s camel coat with brown velvet accents, which she paired with a beautiful white dress and a sleek pair of black heels.
