Meghan Markle’s ‘crazy’ interaction with stars of new film revealed | Royal | News

The documentary follows a group of Girl Scouts who sell snacks to support their troop. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah over the weekend, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a surprise appearance at the event.
After meeting Meghan, several of the teens revealed what she was like, with Girl Scout Nikki B saying: “It’s a crazy feeling. I read about them all the time in my books, like, oh, princesses and kings, and then I actually meet someone. Nikki’s older sister, Nala, added: “When I first found out I was going to meet the duke and duchess, I was like, ‘Are you serious?’ I thought. Are you sure?’ But yeah, I’m really excited. “I am so excited.”
Alysa Nahmias, the program’s director, talked about how important the Girl Scouts industry is and the life skills it teaches young girls. He explained: “Cookies are worth £600 million [a year] It’s a very profitable business and these girls are doing it and getting a share of it. [for their troupes]. But at what cost?
She continued: “Parents, the Girl Scouts organization, and the girls themselves. But I also think it’s a broader social question, right? It’s about kids and oppression and how kids are introduced early to participation in the economy… It’s a crash course in capitalism for young people.”
Sources say the Duchess was “inundated with offers” after quitting her acting career to marry into the royal family eight years ago. She played paralegal Rachel Zane in the famous US legal drama Suits.
A studio source said Sun: “This is a huge moment for Meghan and marks a return to doing what she truly loves. She’s been inundated with offers but this felt right. “It’s Meghan’s way of slowly dipping her toe in the water and seeing how she enjoys being back on set.
“Everyone involved is very excited and have been sworn to secrecy about her involvement. Prince Harry is of course really supportive and quite simply wants Meghan to do anything that brings her joy.”
Meghan previously opened up about whether she misses acting. She spoke on Emma Grede’s podcast over the summer and said she misses it “sometimes.”
The Duchess explained: “But you know what, actually having a big team, being on set with Meghan’s With Love again was great because I realized how much I missed my team. I love being with a team.”
