More than 150 members of the Bharat Vikas Parishat celebrated the 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram by singing it in chorus at the Veera Soudha premises in Belagavi on Wednesday.
Veera Soudha was the venue for the national convention of the All India Congress Committee in 1924, chaired by Mahatma Gandhi.
The statement also stated that they sang patriotic songs to commemorate Republic Day.
Bharat Vika Parishat president Vinayak More, Akshata More, Swati Ghodekar and others were present.
