“Lead detective Gary Florencio obtained and viewed surveillance video that cooperated with key elements of the victim’s testimony,” the statement said.

Davis also faces a civil lawsuit filed in October by his ex-girlfriend, Courtney Rossel.

The lawsuit charged Davis with battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Rossel is also seeking “over $50,000” (£38,100) in compensatory and punitive damages and has requested a jury trial.

Davis was set to fight YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul at an exhibition in Miami on November 14, but the bout was canceled after a lawsuit was filed.

Six months earlier, another ex-girlfriend dropped a domestic violence lawsuit against Davis.

He was also arrested on charges of battery and domestic violence in February 2020 and December 2022.

Davis served 44 days in prison in 2023 after violating the terms of a 90-day home confinement sentence in connection with a hit-and-run that occurred in November 2020 in his hometown of Baltimore.
