Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix FIRST LOOK: Singer shares raw footage of herself giving birth to twin daughters in unflinching account into becoming a mother in Amazon Prime documentary – amid their SMA diagnosis

Jesy Nelson shares her fearless story about becoming a mother to her twin daughters; Ocean Jade and Story Monroe are in the new Amazon Prime documentary Life After Little Mix.
The 34-year-old singer gave the first look at the show as she debuted its trailer on Thursday ahead of its Feb. 13 premiere.
Jesy said the documentary series covers the “most painful” period of her life as she suffered pregnancy complications including Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome, a rare, life-threatening condition, and spent three months in hospital.
TTS is a serious condition in which abnormal blood vessel connections cause unequal blood flow in identical twins who share the same placenta, with one twin becoming the ‘donor’ (losing blood) and the other the ‘recipient’ (receiving blood).
Earlier this month, Jesy revealed that their eight-month-old daughter had been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA1).
‘Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) is a rare genetic condition that can cause muscle weakness. It gets worse over time, but there are medications and other treatments to help manage the symptoms, according to the NHS website.

Earlier this month, Jesy revealed that their eight-month-old daughter had been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA1).
Heartbreaking scenes document that moment; Jesy and her ex-fiancé, 27-year-old Zion Foster, are told by a doctor that their daughter has only a 5% chance of surviving to birth.
Another opening clip from her three-month hospital stay shows Jesy crying. She cries: ‘I hate when my body lets me down.’
After watching her daughter’s terrifying pregnancy journey, Jesy’s mother Janice comments: ‘What if something had gone wrong now? I dread to think what it will be like’ – unaware of what will happen.
Jesy also tells her side of the story of why she left Little Mix in December 2020 after nine years in the girl group.
As a montage of her Little Mix days is played on camera, she says: ‘I never talked about it. I always wanted to entertain people. I felt magical and then not so quickly. I just always kept quiet. I was the one left behind.
‘I had a really hard time keeping all this inside… Now I’m ready to tell my side of the story.
Little Mix rose to fame on The X Factor, with their mentor Tulisa Contostavlos, 37, making a cameo appearance.
Tulisa says: ‘When you want something so bad, you’re always blind to the negatives.’
Alongside the teaser, Jesy wrote: ‘Isn’t it so crazy how the universe works and the divine timing of everything? When I got pregnant last year, I decided I wanted to document everything.
‘I wanted to let the cameras into my life and my home and film what I thought would be a really exciting, fun little experience of motherhood; me and my daughters could sit and watch the memories one day when they grow up.
The singer dropped a trailer for the show on Thursday, giving a first look ahead of its Feb. 13 release.
The series follows Jesy as she navigates the emotional rollercoaster of pregnancy complications, including Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome, a rare, life-threatening condition.

‘But little did I know the journey I was about to embark on. From being told I was having twins, to being found out I had TTTS, a rare condition that only affects a small percentage of identical twins and without treatment the survival rate for my babies is close to zero, to then living in hospital for three months, delivering my babies early and being in a neonatal ward for over a month.
‘Bringing them home truly felt like a dream, like we were finally out of the trenches.
‘It was honestly one of the hardest, most painful times I’ve ever had to go through in my life, let alone document. ‘I’m incredibly proud of this documentary series and can’t wait for my fans and anyone who’s been following my journey to see it.’
Jesy said the documentary was very painful to watch after her twins were diagnosed.
“I’m going to be completely honest… I’ve only watched this series once because it’s honestly too emotional to watch right now,” Jesy continued.
‘But when I watched it I saw everything through a completely different lens, now that I know what I know about my daughters and their diagnosis. No one could have prepared me for what happened when I started shooting.
‘But one thing I know from watching it is how proud I am of my daughters and how inspiring they are; from their resilience, their strength, their constant struggle, and the pure happiness they show me every day.
‘There may come a time in the near future when my beautiful daughters will turn to me and say, ‘Mom, I don’t think I can do this,’ and if that day comes, I will sit them in front of the TV and show them these images. And I will turn to them and say: “My dears, YOU CAN and YOU WILL!!!”

Navy Bee’s direct show will follow the star as she navigates her motherhood journey as she prepares to welcome twins
The 34-year-old singer gave the first look at the show while debuting its trailer on Thursday, ahead of its Feb. 13 release.
Zion proposed to Jesy during a romantic sunset trip to the beach in September, and the singer shared a close-up photo of the sparkling diamond.
The synopsis of the series is as follows: ‘Jesy, who is expecting twins, tells the story of the joy, fragility and fear that comes with carrying two little lives.
‘The series follows Jesy through the emotional rollercoaster of pregnancy complications, including Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome, a rare and potentially life-threatening condition.
‘With weekly hospital visits, heartfelt conversations and the unwavering support of her loved ones, Jesy weathers the ups and downs of pregnancy, confronting her deepest fears while embracing her newfound strength.
‘But this journey isn’t just about motherhood; He also needs to confront his past. ‘In this series, she will talk about her life-changing decision to leave Little Mix in 2020, break her silence in the face of the relentless pressures of fame, and talk about her struggles with mental health and the controversies that followed.’
Ahead of the launch, Jesy told Amazon: ‘We’ve thrown the doors wide open and I really can’t wait to welcome you all in as we progress towards becoming first-time mums to our beautiful daughters Ocean and Story.
‘I’ll be honest, it hasn’t been easy as it’s such a high-risk pregnancy, so you’ll see all the ups, downs and roller-coaster emotions we go through.
‘I hope you will all join me on this journey as I truly open up, say goodbye to the past, and enter this new chapter in my life. I hope you love it as much as we do.’
Earlier this week it was reported that Jesy had split from Zion just weeks after revealing that their eight-month-old twin daughters had been diagnosed with a severe neuromuscular disorder.
The former Little Mix star and the rapper, who got engaged in September 2025 after three years together, will remain “together as co-parents” despite ending their romantic relationship.
Considered the most severe form of SMA, Type 1 symptoms (usually appearing in infancy) include extreme muscle weakness, difficulty swallowing, and breathing problems.
Jesy is currently campaigning for SMA1 screening at birth and has started a petition to have it added to the newborn blood spot screening test, also known as the heel prick test.
A source said: ‘She and Zion remain friends and are completely focused on their daughter.’
Sun: ‘Their priority remains their daughter’s health. They are completely united in co-parenting.
