Elon Musk’s SpaceX said to consider merger with Tesla, Bloomberg News reports

Jan 29 (Reuters) – Elon Musk’s SpaceX is considering a potential merger with Tesla as well as an alternative combination with Tesla artificial intelligence Bloomberg News reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter by the company xAI.
Tesla’s shares rose 3% following the report.
SpaceX and xAI are in merger talks ahead of a blockbuster IPO planned for later this year to bring Musk’s rockets, Starlink satellites, X social media platform and Grok AI chatbot under one roof, Reuters reported early on Thursday.
According to a Bloomberg report, the space company discussed the feasibility of a tie-up between SpaceX and electric vehicle maker Tesla; This idea is something that some investors insist on.
Any deal could attract significant interest from infrastructure funds and Middle Eastern sovereign investors, some of the people who spoke to Bloomberg said.
SpaceX and Tesla did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for comment.
