Four Bangladesh Nationals Held in Erode District
Erode: Police said four Bangladeshi nationals who entered India illegally were being held in this area. Perundurai police along with Q Branch police conducted a surprise check at Panikkampalayam on Tuesday and questioned four persons staying in the area, the police added.
The four men told the police that they worked in a private textile firm near Perundurai.
They also admitted that they were from Bangladesh and somehow came to Perundurai region.
The police could not find any passports or visas with them.
They also said that they were working in a textile company through some brokers.
Police arrested them, registered cases and sent them to Salem Central Jail. Further investigation is ongoing.
