The first English-medium kindergarten opened in Lambi-Sahad, a small village in the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan, will benefit children in rural communities by providing them with experience with a strong academic foundation. Education Minister Madan Dilawar inaugurated the kindergarten earlier this week.
The nursery school was opened at Shaheed Suresh Singh Government Secondary School of Lambi-Ahir village panchayat in Lambi-Sahad with transport facility and comprehensive access. Jhunjhunu-based Aditri Foundation set up the facility with the promise of strengthening early childhood education in rural areas.
Lambi-Ahir Sarpanch Neeru Yadav, who is also the co-founder of Aditri Foundation, said that the nursery school will provide inclusive and globally harmonized education to rural children. The Foundation also provided a minibus that serves as an “education shuttle”, providing safe and reliable transportation for children from the surrounding villages and surrounding regions.
While the transport facility is expected to ensure high levels of schooling among rural families, Ms. Yadav said the nursery school will provide village children with self-confidence, modern learning experience and global opportunities from an early age.
“The initiative aims to bridge the education gap between rural and urban students by providing modern learning methodologies and a strong academic foundation at an early age,” Ms. Yadav said. The young Sarpanch is known for his initiatives in farming, agricultural marketing, skill development, health and nutrition and women sports in the Shekhawati district of Rajasthan.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Mr. Dilawar said the initiative reflects the spirit of providing education “from the village to the world” and will inspire more families in rural communities to prioritize their children’s education. Former Jhunjhunu MP Santosh Ahlawat and former Surajgarh MLA Subhash Poonia were among those present.
Other speakers praised Aditri Foundation’s efforts to bring global education standards closer to village communities. In the past, the foundation has carried out many studies in the fields of environment, education and women’s empowerment in the Jhunjhunu region.
