Three dead, three hospitalised in horror Queensland crash

Three people have died following a horrific crash in Logan, south of Brisbane, on Saturday.

Three people, including a two-year-old girl, were also taken to hospital after a Toyota Hilux and Volkswagen station wagon collided on Waterford Tamborine Rd in Yarrabilba at around 4.30pm.

The accident caused the Hilux to catch fire.

The driver of the Hilux, an 18-year-old man from Marsden, died at the scene.

He was the only occupant of the car.

A 65-year-old Stafford Heights man and a 33-year-old Kedron woman who were in the Volkswagen also died.

Three other people in the Volkswagen – a 65-year-old Stafford Heights woman, a 36-year-old Kedron man and a two-year-old girl – were taken to hospital.

The young girl was taken to Queensland Children’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Queensland Police said the incident will be investigated by the Forensic Crash Unit and witnesses are encouraged to come forward.
