According to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the attacker stabbed several students in the dormitory and also stabbed two police officers while trying to resist arrest.

Baza channel claimed that the young attacker was linked to extremist ideology. It was stated that the defendants belonged to the banned neo-Nazi organization National Socialism / White Power (NS/WP) Crew (or Sparrows Crew), which was designated as a terrorist organization by the Russian Supreme Court in 2021.

According to the statement made by the Russian Federal Ministry of Health, one of the injured is in critical condition and the other three have moderate injuries. The attacker was taken to a local children’s hospital in serious condition.

Authorities in Ufa, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan, located approximately 1,200 kilometers east of Moscow, launched a high-level investigation into the incident.

The suspect also tried to cause bodily harm to himself, Russian interior ministry spokeswoman Major General Irina Volk reported on the RTVI.com web portal.
