49ers’ Keion White shot in ankle in San Francisco incident after Super Bowl LX

49ers linebacker Keion White was the victim of a non-life-threatening shooting in San Francisco on Monday morning, the team said in a statement.
San Francisco Police Department published a statement He said at approximately 4:06 a.m., officers “responded to a business located in the 1700 block of Mission Street regarding a shooting.”
When they arrived at the scene, officers found White had an apparent gunshot wound to his ankle. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The statement said, “During the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that there was a verbal argument between two groups in a workplace.” “The victim was injured in a shooting by an unknown suspect. All information is preliminary at this time and more information will be provided as it becomes available.”
The 49ers said White had surgery at a local hospital and would provide more information.
White’s manager has not yet responded to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

While the San Francisco Police Department’s Strategic Investigations Unit continues to investigate the attack, no arrests have been made at this time.

This incident occurred just hours after the Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots at White’s home field, Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
White was seen wearing Patriots gear on his Instagram account while attending Super Bowl LX. He played five games with the Patriots this season before joining the 49ers in a trade before the NFL deadline.
The 49ers sent a 2026 sixth-round pick to the Patriots in exchange for White and a 2026 seventh-round pick.
White has collected 1.5 sacks and 12 combined tackles and six quarterback hits in nine games (two starts) for the 49ers this season. He also recorded a sack and four tackles in two playoff games for San Francisco.

Another 49ers player, wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, was shot in the chest during a robbery attempt in August 2024. Pearsall was forced to miss the first six games of his rookie year due to the injury, from which he fully recovered.
