Sunderland care home crash: Two residents die

Northumbria police said that after a police chase in Sunderland, two nursing houses were killed after a car hit a car in the building.

The accident took place at 21:40 BST on Wednesday, when a blue BMW hit Highcliffe Care Home on WiterWack and caused structural damage.

A woman in her 90s and 80s died on Thursday and eight other residues were injured.

Two men, both of whom were previously arrested in connection with the accident, were re -arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police reported that Newcastle was stolen from the fenham zone in the early hours of that evening.

Northumbria police said the accident would think if the accident contributes to women’s deaths.

The deceased women were among the residents who were evacuated to other nearby care homes.
