Following the Congress’ victory in the Urban Local Bodies elections across Telangana, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met senior Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi and explained how the party managed to register an impressive victory by pushing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to the third position.
During the meeting held in New Delhi on Friday, February 13, 2026, Mrs. Gandhi extended her warm wishes to party leaders, activists and grassroots workers in Telangana, crediting their sustained campaigns and connecting with urban voters for massive success. He said the people’s decision reflects increased confidence in the Congress government and its commitment to inclusive governance.
Mr. Reddy briefed Mrs. Gandhi about the latest political and administrative developments in the state. He outlined the major reforms initiated by the government, the policy measures taken to strengthen urban management, the major investments attracted in recent months and the progress made in the implementation and delivery of social assistance programmes.
