9-Year-Old Dies In Accident At Lingojiguda, Father Severely Injured

Hyderabad: A nine-year-old girl died when the bicycle she was traveling with her father was hit by a truck near Longojiguda in Choutuppal police limits on Sunday afternoon. The truck driver fled the scene after the accident.

Police said 33-year-old Vaddagoni Ramesh was arrested in IV. He said that he was traveling from Choutuppal to his hometown Aregudem village on a bike along with his daughter Vaddagoni Rihansika, a grade student. He was riding in the saddle with him.

At around 12.32pm, a truck (JH 06U 7362) allegedly traveling at high speed hit the bike near a hotel in Lingojiguda. The father and daughter fell on the road, and the truck ran over Rihansika. Ramesh was injured and admitted to Choutuppal Government Hospital. Following a complaint from Ramesh’s wife Mounika, the police registered a case and started tracking the killer vehicle.
