Last moments of TOWIE’s Jordan Wright show panicked reality star sprinting through hotel grounds before he was found dead in Thailand

Haunting CCTV captured TOWIE star Jordan Wright’s final moments before he was found dead after drowning in a drainage canal in Thailand.
The 33-year-old, from Basildon, Essex, who was previously dated Vicky Pattison, was seen looking over his shoulder as he ran to his hotel on the island of Phuket shortly before midnight on Thursday (March 12).
Police said the circumstances leading to Jordan’s death were ‘unclear’ and it was possible ‘other people were involved’.
Officers are currently investigating whether he ran away from another person as he frantically returned to the hotel.
CCTV footage shows Jordan holding on to a white Toyota pickup truck to steady himself as he rounds a corner.
He then continued to run erratically through the grounds of the Hotel COCO Phuket Bangtao Beach hotel, where rooms cost around £23 per night.
Jordan, who came to Thailand on a digital nomad visa in December, was found dead two days later, lying face down in stagnant water in a ditch.
His body was found by a Burmese worker near Bang Tao Beach in Phuket around 12.30pm on Saturday afternoon.
The drop from the concrete ledge is about 4 ft and the standing water is only 1 ft deep.
There are no CCTV cameras in the under-construction wasteland to show how he came to the canal.

As Jordan turned the corner, he held on to a white Toyota pickup truck to steady himself.
Authorities said the body had been there for some time, but there were no signs of any physical attack.
Police are now investigating whether Jordan was running from another person as he frantically returned to the hotel.
Lieutenant Colonel Sutthirak Chuthong of Choeng Thale district station added: ‘The circumstances leading to the death are highly unclear.
‘It is possible that other people were involved.’
A source from the hotel said Jordan was alone today and had no guests.
They added: ‘He used to go out at night like the other guests. There was nothing unusual as long as we couldn’t find him when he needed to check out.’
Jordan appeared in eight episodes of Ex On The Beach in 2017 and 17 episodes of TOWIE in 2018.
The sharp-jawed firefighter became a huge hit with fans after he flirted with Courtney Green as well as engaging in an explosive on-screen brawl with ex-boyfriend Myles Barnett.
However, it was later reported that he had been fired from the ITV soap amid allegations that he had taken paid sick leave from the London Fire Brigade to film the show. He later quit reality TV altogether to return to his job as a firefighter.
Immigration papers show Jordan arrived in Thailand on December 3 last year on a ‘Digital Nomad’ visa, usually used by backpackers to cross Asia.
Officers said a Myanmar worker collecting his vegetables in the morning came across the body and notified the police station.
While Jordan’s new iPhone 17 was thought to be in a nearby bank, he had a hotel key card in his pocket belonging to Hotel COCO Phuket Bangtao, about a 20-minute walk from where he was found.
As the news broke, tributes from reality stars, influencers, DJs and fitness enthusiasts who shared her passion for sports and music flooded her Instagram profile.
In recent years, Jordan, who is no relation to former TOWIE co-star Mark Wright, rejoined the fire service but left to pursue a career in financial investing.

A friend remembered the former TOWIE star as a ‘truly special soul’, adding that ‘there was so much success to come’ before his sudden death aged 33.
He appears to have spent several weeks in Thailand before his death; Among the videos taken while riding a fast motorcycle on social media, his ‘new life’ in the country is mentioned.
On his LinkedIn profile, he was listed as a director of London-based firm Hampton Gate Wealth, a ’boutique promoter focusing on alternative fixed income strategies for qualified investors’.
He appears to have spent several weeks in Thailand before his death; Among the videos on social media showing him riding fast motorcycles, spending time on the beach and receiving martial arts training, references are made to his ‘new life’ in the country.
The last post, dated March 6, included a photo of Jordan relaxing in an infinity pool with a glass of wine, as well as videos of boating, posing on a motorcycle, scuba diving, and eating local food while overlooking the natural scenery.
Detectives said there was no sign of the hotel being broken into or disturbed. Authorities are now awaiting autopsy results to determine the exact cause of death.
His former manager Alex Shafiq told the Daily Mail that Jordan was a “fun kid” who “lit up any room with his smile”.
He said: ‘I’m a good judge of character and I knew Jordan was a great person from the moment I met him.
‘He was a very handsome lad with a wonderful, wide smile. ‘He tried TV for a while but DJing was his real passion, that’s what he wanted to focus on.’
My good friend and DJ Stuart Hart said: ‘Jordan was a really lovely lad, always happy and fun to be around, always supportive, always up for a good time whether it was coming to my gigs or DJing at my parties. [He was] One of the good ones.”
Neighbour Sandra, who has lived on the same road as the family for more than 40 years, remembered Jordan from the moment he was born and said he was a ‘normal, polite lad’.
He said: ‘Jordan was a lovely young lad and a bit cheeky. He would come to visit but [the family] They kept to themselves. If I saw him, he would wave from the car and I would wave back.
‘I never had any problems with his family’ [He and his brother] They were really good kids. I can’t shoot them.
‘Now and again [my kids and the brothers] We used to play football there together. He was just a normal, kind kid.

‘I hate hearing things like this. I know what they’re going through. ‘I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.’
Others close to Jordan also posted heartfelt praise on his social media. One described him as ‘a lovely person who died too soon’, while another said he would be ‘sorely missed’.
Many people said they were ‘shocked’ by the news and described his death as ‘absolutely heartbreaking’.
A Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office spokesman told the Daily Mail: ‘We are supporting the family of a British man who died in Thailand and are in contact with local authorities.’
Police chief Sutthirak Chuthong from Choeng Thale district station said: ‘The guest has been identified as Mr Jordan Wright, a British national, with whom the hotel has been unable to contact. A search of the room revealed no signs of forced entry or other irregularities.’
He added: ‘Hotel records showed he checked in alone and was due to check out on March 13, but staff reported he never checked out.
CCTV footage showed him appearing restless and pacing back and forth in front of the hotel before leaving the area.
‘His movements eventually led him to the location where his body was later discovered.

‘We are still waiting for autopsy results from Vachira Phuket Hospital to determine whether drugs were found in his system.’
Police Lieutenant Colonel Suthirak Chuthong of Choeng Thale Police Station said the Briton was believed to have died no more than two days before he was discovered.
He added: ‘The case remains under investigation while we await official autopsy results. CCTV footage of the incident is part of the case file and cannot be disclosed at this stage.
‘We cannot confirm the exact cause of death until the autopsy results are available. If relatives or friends have concerns about the cause of death, they can contact the police station.’
