Mapped: Topshop returns to the high street – here’s where you can find iconic brand

Topshop will make a big return to Britain’s high streets this week.
The popular fashion brand will open in all 32 John Lewis stores from Tuesday.
The move marks a significant turnaround for Topshop, which disappeared from physical retail spaces along with its sister brand Topman after its former owner Arcadia Group went into administration in 2021, leading to the closure of its last standalone stores.
This relaunch forms part of John Lewis’ strategic expansion into new brands for the upcoming spring/summer season and is supported by the retailer’s significant long-term investment of £800 million in its store portfolio.
The partnership between the historic store and Topshop was first confirmed last year, starting with successful pop-up installations across multiple John Lewis locations.
The brand was acquired by current owner Asos, which sells Topshop products online.
But last year the brand returned to physical retail with a launch at London’s Liberty Shopping Centre, before announcing its tie-up with John Lewis weeks later.
Topshop will be available in 32 John Lewis stores, while Topman will be available in seven stores.
The launch will include a collection of “130 of Topshop’s most sought-after pieces”, including its signature denim items.
As part of the launch, Topshop and Topman products will also be available on John Lewis’ online platforms.
Topshop Managing Director Michelle Wilson said: “Today is all about making it easier for customers to access the Topshop and Topman pieces they love.
“From our cult denim to our new season shoes, you can see everything, feel it and take it home on the same day.
“The partnership with John Lewis brings Topshop back to the UK high street with the level of service our customers have come to expect.”
The move coincides with London Fashion Week and will be followed by a “takeover” of London’s Piccadilly Circus and activities elsewhere in the UK.
The launch comes amid the department store chain’s efforts to boost growth as it continues with a major transformation plan under boss Peter Ruis.
It said the brand, which is part of the John Lewis Partnership with supermarket chain Waitrose, was investing in its fashion offering to help drive its current strategy.
Mr Ruis, managing director of John Lewis, said: “This moment marks a significant acceleration of our passion for fashion at John Lewis.
“Being the exclusive home of an iconic brand like Topshop, and alongside other exciting new brands, demonstrates our determination to be the definitive style authority on the British high street.”
John Lewis said it will also introduce 14 new fashion, jewelery and accessories brands ahead of this season as part of its efforts to expand its fashion offering.
It also follows a major redesign of the fashionable floors of the retailer’s flagship store on Oxford Street.
