The event attracted strong crowds and has been positioned as India’s flagship AI event by the government for months. It follows similar multilateral summits in the UK, France and South Korea. In addition to French President Emmanuel Macron, Spanish President Pedro Sánchez Pérez-Castejón and Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will also attend the meeting.
The fair has been extended
The Artificial Intelligence Impact Summit expo has been extended by one day to Saturday (February 21, 2026) so that attendees can visit the expo with more flexible security arrangements after all multilateral events at the venue have concluded, IT Secretary S. Krishnan said in a press conference on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Mr. Krishnan said students and professionals who cannot attend on weekdays can easily come.
More than 400 participants, from start-ups to large corporate companies and from government organizations to researchers, have their own stands at the summit.

The summit attracted large crowds for the first three days, which led to significant disruption on Monday 16 February 2026 as large parts of the venue were closed to public access. The strong participation even after three days led to this extension. It is unclear whether all exhibitors will be able to stay at the fair until Saturday, February 21, 2026.
The fair will be closed on Thursday, February 19, 2026, for the plenary session with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other world leaders. It will reopen on Friday, February 20, 2026.
