Peter Mandelson has appeared in the new Channel 4 documentary series about Tony Blair’s rise to power and called out the former Prime Minister’s “brutality”.

Mandelson stands alongside key figures from the Blair administration despite recent allegations about his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.

“Tony was quite clever about leaving the brutality to others,” Mandelson says during an interview detailing Blair’s rebranding of the Labor Party.

Channel 4 denied at the end of the episode that Mandelson’s contribution to the series was recorded in February 2025, “before the extent of his ties to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein were revealed”.
