Kenton LIVE: Newcastle chaos as armed police swarm Hillview Avenue | UK | News

A police cordon was established in Kenton, Newcastle, as armed officers locked down Hillview Avenue. Armed police stormed a residential street in Newcastle as a major emergency response was underway and officers in tactical gear were seen carrying weapons.

A section of Hillview Boulevard in Kenton was taped off Wednesday afternoon with multiple police vehicles, vans and an undercover car at the scene. Eyewitnesses reported that shouts were heard coming from a property and neighbors were called to stay away from the area while the police carried out the operation. Emergency services, including fire crews from the nearby Kenton Sports Centre, were also seen in the area. Northumbria police have been approached for a comment.
