Family heartbreak as Brit ‘with infectious smile’ dies | World | News

A 23-year-old British citizen unfortunately lost his life as a result of a motorcycle accident in Thailand, which left him in a coma for weeks. Tiger Duggan, who hails from Milton Keynes, was living in Australia with his brother.

While traveling in Thailand with a friend as part of his birthday celebrations, he fell off his bike while overtaking a car on February 1. He was initially treated at a hospital in Koh Samui and then transferred to MedPark Hospital in Bangkok to receive specialist treatment.

His family announced his death on Thursday, writing in a heartbreaking post: “Our soft-skinned, beautiful, long-eyed son left this dimension in my arms early this morning with a cheeky, charming infectious smile that touched everyone’s heart.”

Tiger’s friends organized an online fundraiser to support his family, who spent time at his bedside following the incident.

More than £200,000 was raised in a fundraiser to support his recovery.

An update posted on the fundraising page read: “We want to thank everyone who has supported us on Tiger’s journey with prayers, messages and donations.

“Without these donations, Tiger would not have reached his final destination where, after his selfless act of passing his life this morning, he gave three, maybe four people a second chance at life by donating his organs.

“We have lived a nightmare for 19 days, please respect our peace and privacy from now on.”
