Four men arrested in UK on suspicion of plotting terrorism

Four men were arrested on suspicion of planning terrorist acts in Yorkshire, Derbyshire and West Midlands.
Counter Terrorism Police North East (CTPNE), 33 -year -old Leeds was arrested, 31 -year -old Huddersfield was arrested, a 34 -year -old man was arrested in Derby and a 49 -year -old man was arrested in Western Bromwich.
Everyone was arrested on Friday because of the preparation or encouragement of terrorist acts under the 41st part of the 2000 Terrorism Law on Friday, the Commission.
A CTPNE spokesman: “All men were taken to a local police station to question.
“Calls continue on a number of properties in relation to this investigation.
“This activity was planned and led by intelligence, and in the UK, it was not believed to be a threat close to the public depending on this investigation.”
