Draft-Dodging Trump Thirsts Over Awarding Himself Military Medal

While reflecting on soldiers who lost limbs in battle, Donald Trump also bragged about his bravery and proposed changing the law so he could be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. In a meandering speech in Georgia on Thursday, the draft-dodging president said he tried to award himself the medal after visiting Iraq during his first term but was talked out of it by his advisers. “I’ve given so much to some seriously brave men, I mean they come together, missing arms, missing legs, the stories are so incredible,” Trump said. “So I said, ‘It would be a little hard to give myself one of these.’
