IISc Open Day on March 7

Indian Institute of Science (IISc) will organize Open Day event on March 7 from 9am to 5pm to showcase its activities to the student community and general public
According to IISc, on this day students, science and technology enthusiasts and the public will have the opportunity to visit the institute and tour the campus to explore IISc’s exciting science and technology initiatives and activities.
The Open Day will feature popular lectures, experimental demos, poster presentations, quizzes, scientific competitions and exhibitions.
The children’s zone will offer a special attraction for all young students. Entry to the event is free.
“Open Day is for IISc departments to showcase their research activities. We cannot accommodate requests from outside IISc to showcase their activities,” he said.
He also added that the institute received an overwhelming response from institutions and individuals who visited the IISc campus for the Open Day.
It was stated that visitors are strongly encouraged to use public transportation whenever possible to minimize visitor inconvenience and facilitate logistics.
At IISc campus, visitors can use e-Rickshaws to commute from one end to the other. 15 e-Rickshaw (Trans-Vahan) were put into service free of charge.
The statement said, “Visitors are requested to tread carefully as construction work continues in many places within the campus. Parents and guardians are also requested to keep their little ones under constant supervision.”
Help desks are available at all viewpoints where you are encouraged to seek any assistance. “Please bring your own water bottles. Ample water will be available to refill your water bottles. During your stay, please help us keep the IISc campus clean and green,” IISc said.
