Meghan’s ‘hypocrisy proves how little power Harry really has’ | Royal | News

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are often cited as extremely protective parents, largely preferring to keep their children, six-year-old Prince Archie and four-year-old Princess Lilibet, out of the spotlight. However, when Meghan returned to social media in January 2025, she shared various photos of her children on her Instagram account.
The Sussex mum-of-two has previously been called out for her “hypocrisy” in sharing Archie and Lilibet as she tries to set up social media companies to protect children and young people.
Speaking of Meghan’s latest post about Harry and Lilibet, royal expert Ingrid Seward and Mirror‘s Mitya Underwood wrote about how surprising it was that the former royal staffer allowed his wife Lilibet to post her private photo — which was the most visible photo fans have seen on her side profile.
They wrote: “It’s a bit surprising that Harry let this happen. He tried to explain how much he hated cameras, which apparently he did, and then there’s a photo of his daughter on Instagram for all the world to see, which seems to be the exact opposite of what Harry said he wanted.”
“So I think they had some pretty heated debates on the subject… But Harry understands the privacy issue better than Meghan does because of his experiences as a child. For Meghan, being seen with a gorgeous child is just a plus because she’s had such different experiences.”
They also likened Meghan to a “movie star”, adding: “Movie stars are always showing off with their kids, but you wouldn’t expect that from a Prince of the Realm. So it’s clear that Meghan is the winner in this one.”
He concluded: “I would have thought Harry might have been brave enough to point out that the photo was completely contrary to everything they said they wanted and could no longer be taken back”.
Appearing to imply Harry had no power, they added: “Although Meghan will probably have the final say on anything they discuss.”
