Cosmetic surgeon reveals how old celebrities’ faces REALLY look before and after having their fillers dissolved – and it will make you think twice about going under the needle

When Kylie Jenner attended the 2026 BAFTAs on Sunday, fans were quick to notice her newfound youthful glow.
The 28-year-old mother of two appears to have dissolved the filler and fans have noticed that she looks much more like her ‘old self’ again after plumping her lips in her late teens and early 20s.
Other famous faces like Molly Mae Hague, Kristin Davis and Ariana Grande have also admitted to ditching fillers as a more natural look returns to fashion.
Although the purpose of fillers is to plump up aging skin, many people actually look younger after stopping injectable medications.
Speaking to Daily Mail, Medical Director of Kozmedik skin clinics, Dr. Ross Perry analyzed the facial ages of stars before and after fillers.
Before you consider a range of injectable medications, read on to learn how they really affect your skin.

Kylie Jenner first started getting dermal fillers in her lips since she was a teenager.
She admitted it started out of ‘insecurity’ after a boy she liked said her naturally thin lips were ‘unkissable’.
In 2018, she claimed that all of her lip fillers had dissolved, but she eventually had them injected again.
‘This was the best thing I’ve ever done,’ Kylie told HommeGirls in 2023.
However, in the last year or two, inspired by her daughter, she started to make her lips smaller again, saying it was more natural.
‘My daughter looks like me. I see my beauty in her and it has definitely made me love myself more. “Beauty is always changing for me,” she said.
Doctor Perry: ‘In previous photos, Kylie’s lips looked fuller and the middle of the face looked more voluminous, which can sometimes make the lower face look a little heavier, which can be a sign of aging.
‘In more recent photos, her facial features appear softer and more proportionate, with her lips and cheeks less voluminous, giving her an overall fresher and arguably younger look.’

Molly-Mae previously admitted that she did not recognize herself when she turned 21 because she had various plastic procedures.
She began the process of having her fillers dissolved in 2020 and said she was grateful to be able to ‘fix’ her face after overdoing it.
She celebrated going ‘filler-free’ in 2024, explaining: ‘I thought for a moment about my filler journey the other day and realized I haven’t had fillers in close to five years, so over four years.
‘I haven’t had any fillers applied to my face, if you remember my filler fiasco, my filler scandal, it’s quite a feat, not an achievement but a truly remarkable journey.
Doctor Perry: ‘The previously increased lip and cheek volume gave Molly-Mae a more contoured, ‘finished’ aesthetic; This could sometimes age someone in their early twenties.
‘Since reducing the filler, facial features are softer, look younger and facial balance is better.’

KRISTIN DAVIS

In 2023, the And Just Like That star told The Telegraph that she was “mercilessly teased” about her use of fillers.
“It’s always hard to face your younger self,” Kristin told the press, admitting that she had plumped her lips for the Sex And The City reboot in 2021.
“I had fillers and it was fine, I had fillers and it was bad,” Kristin admitted. ‘I had to have them dissolved and was ridiculed mercilessly. And I shed tears about it. It’s very stressful.”
Doctor Perry: ‘Too much mid-face filler can blur natural lines and slightly age the face, making the eyes look more closed, which can lead to aging.
‘In newer looks, with reduced volume, facial features appear more defined and refreshed, giving a more youthful impression.’

ARIANA GRAND
Ariana Grande admitted to Vogue magazine in 2023 that she had “tons of lip fillers and botox over the years” (Photo New York, 2018)
The singer and actress, who said she stopped having fillers, was seen at the Wicked premiere in London last year.
The Wicked star told Vogue Beauty Secrets in 2023 that she used to get ‘a ton’ of lip fillers and Botox, but stopped in 2018 when she was 25 because it was ‘too much’.
“I just felt like I was hiding,” the singer, now 30, said. ‘For a long time beauty for me was about hiding and now that I’ve stopped getting fillers and Botox I feel like it’s not.’
Doctor Perry: ‘His previous full lips and cheeks gave him a more shaped, mature appearance. The reduced volume in the final images makes his face appear thinner and softer; This is a combination that often makes you look younger.’

Former TOWIE star Megan, now 33, stopped getting fillers in her late 20s after leaving dramatic reality TV behind.
‘It was difficult. “I needed to get therapy and get help,” he admitted.
‘I feel happier, more natural. It got to the point where the only thing people talked about when I was on TV was my lips. ‘I wanted to be known for my voice, not my goofy pout.’
Doctor Perry: ‘Heavier lip and cheek fillers can draw attention to the center of the face and create a slightly artificial fullness.
‘With less volume, Megan’s natural bone structure becomes more visible, giving her a fresher and possibly younger overall appearance.’

Doctor Perry: ‘In the past, increasing cheek volume created a slightly too full effect, which paradoxically can lead to increased age.
‘Since dissolving, her face looks more natural and balanced, giving her a more youthful appearance.’

KHLOE KARDASHIAN

Reality TV star says she’s ‘scared of doing it’ [filler] again in the same episode (filmed last year)
Doctor Perry: ‘Khloe’s prominent lip and cheek enhancement previously gave the face a denser, more sculpted look that could age it.
‘With the reduction of fullness, facial features look fresher and more appropriate to their natural age.’
‘What this shows is that overloading is not synonymous with youthfulness, in fact it often has the opposite effect.
‘However, when done right, fillers can be subtle and beautifully natural. For some people, carefully placed enhancements can imperceptibly refresh and rejuvenate the face, creating a balanced, lighter and truly youthful appearance.’
