Nancy Guthrie’s home to be returned to family after ‘routine legal process’

Law enforcement is preparing to return Nancy Guthrie’s Tucson home to her family, sources told NBC News on Wednesday.
Authorities do not believe the house should be sealed as a crime scene or that the family should be barred from entry.
The United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona confirmed to Fox News Digital that federal prosecutors visited the 84-year-old’s estate on Wednesday to assist the FBI with a “routine legal process.”
Federal agents remained at the home for several hours Wednesday afternoon, and multiple vehicles were seen entering and exiting the driveway throughout the afternoon.

“TODAY” host Savannah Guthrie’s mother was reported missing on Feb. 1.
Video from Fox Flight Team’s drone on Wednesday shows agents entering and exiting the home and moving around the backyard.
On Tuesday, Savannah Guthrie posted a video on Instagram announcing a family reward of up to $1 million for information leading to her mother’s recovery. He said the family also donated $500,000 to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
According to NBC News, the FBI received more than 750 tips after the reward was announced.

Authorities have not publicly identified a suspect or any person of interest.
Fox News Digital previously reported that investigators have not ruled out the possibility that Nancy Guthrie may have been abducted by more than one person.
Security footage from the Nest doorbell camera shows a masked man tampering with the device on his doorstep. A separate photo released by the FBI shows a similarly dressed man without a backpack or holster, leading experts to speculate that more than one person may be involved.
DNA clues have yet to yield any progress in the case.

Samples taken from Nancy Guthrie’s home in Tucson primarily matched people who had a legitimate reason to be there, two federal law enforcement sources told Fox News Digital in a previous report. An unknown sample yielded only a partial profile that could not be entered into the FBI’s CODIS database.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said DNA found at the scene showed investigators had not yet led to a suspect in Guthrie’s disappearance.
