Tottenham: Spurs write to PGMOL chief Howard Webb over refereeing decisions

Tottenham They have written to Professional Gaming Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) chief Howard Webb to express their concerns about key refereeing decisions.
Sources told BBC Sport that the correspondence focused primarily on what the club saw as inconsistent decisions that led to goals being allowed or disallowed as a result of contact inside the penalty area.
Spurs believe they have been on the wrong side of some major events this season.
During Tottenham’s 4-1 home defeat against North London rivals Arsenal on February 22, striker Randal Kolo Muani’s goal – which would have leveled the score at 2-2 – was disallowed after officials ruled that the France international had pushed opposition defender Gabriel Magalhaes behind moments before heading beyond David Raya.
Spurs referee Peter Bankes, who officiated the derby against Arsenal, said on last week’s episode of Match Officials Mic’d Up: “When you see the two hands in live play, it looks like a push, a clear push. I’m more than happy that the two hands behind the back had enough impact that it was an infringement.”
With that in mind, Tottenham were left confused as to why Fulham winger Harry Wilson was allowed to qualify for his debut in their 2-1 defeat against Craven Cottage on Saturday.
Mexican forward Raul Jimenez appeared to push Spurs defender Radu Dragusin in the build-up to Wilson’s strike, and the pair jumped for an aerial challenge, but the goal was allowed to stand as the contact did not meet the foul threshold.
