A Telangana man suffered minor injuries following an attack near Abu Dhabi International Airport, amid ongoing conflict in West Asia, his family said on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
N. Rajeswara Rao, a native of Pothireddypalle village in Rajanna Sircilla district, was injured in the incident, his father Prabhakar Rao said.
Mr. Rajeshwara Rao, who works in the cleaning department of the airport, informed his parents that he and a few others escaped with minor injuries.
“My son has been working there for a year. He works at the airport. He was injured in the attack. He spoke to us through video call, but he does not show us the injuries. I want my son to return home as soon as possible,” Mr. Prabhakar Rao told PTI Video. Mr Rajeshwara Rao’s parents have called on the Indian government to take steps to ensure the safe return of their son.
A group of passengers arriving at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, said that they did not face any difficulties due to the current situation in the Gulf region. Pilgrims traveling to Medina expressed their satisfaction with the facilities and arrangements. Mohd Abdul Razak told PTI Video that his return to Hyderabad was delayed due to flight cancellations. However, he said the travel agency took care of accommodation and other arrangements.
