PPA Office to be Shifted to Rajamahendravaram Soon

Vijayawada: Polavaram irrigation project work is continuing rapidly to complete the project by the end of 2027. In this direction, the office of Polavaram Project Authority (PPA) will be shifted from Hyderabad to Rajamahendravaram in about four months.

A notification from the Jal Shakthi ministry reached the PPA chief executive officer about relocating the PPA office to Rajamahendravaram, which is located close to the project.

Accordingly, the authorities are looking for a place in Dowleswaram where the chief engineer, executive engineer and other officers related to Godavari main works have their offices.

In a related development, P. Pulla Reddy, managing director of AP power generation company, inspected the construction works of Polavaram Hydroelectric power project on Wednesday. He felt the need to complete the hydroelectric power plant works for commissioning until the Polavaram irrigation project work was completed.

During the day, he inspected key civil, hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical components of the power project.
