Riot squad called after 500 people gatecrash 16th birthday party in Kirrawee

Riot police were called to a house in Sydney’s south after hundreds of people stormed a 16-year-old boy’s birthday party on Friday night.
Officers were called to a home on Bounty Ave in Kirrawee at around 7.15pm on Friday following reports that around 500 people had stormed a birthday party.
Riot police, police helicopters and officers rushed to the streets to remove the crashers, but were met with reaction from some of the revelers.
Wild footage shows a police helicopter circling a Sydney suburb and a spotlight shined on the streets.
Riot squad and police helicopters were called after reports that nearly 500 people had crashed at a 16th birthday party in Kirrawee.
Police claimed that some door robbers threw bottles at officers who were forced to use pepper spray.
It took police more than an hour to disperse the crowd.

Three 16-year-old boys were arrested but later released pending further investigation.
“No injuries were reported,” the police statement said.
