One person arrested on suspicion murder Following the discovery of a woman’s body in the River Thames by a private members’ club. Thames Valley Police He was called to Phyllis Court Drive, Henley-on-Thames, at around 7.50am on Friday.
The arrested 44-year-old man remains in police custody, police said. Det Insp Rob Underhill said in a statement: “The investigation is still in its early stages, but an arrest has been made and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident. I would like to reassure the community that there is no risk to the wider public.”
Mr Underhill added: “The public will likely see an increased police presence as we continue the investigation and we would advise anyone with any concerns to please speak to one of our uniformed officers.”
Phyllis Court Club’s clubhouse, fitness center and course are temporarily closed “until further notice,” according to its website.
The private members club is located in a manor house set in 18 acres of land next to the River Thames in Oxfordshire.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said the victim had not yet been formally identified.
They confirmed the 44-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of murder.
