Urdu Academy Staff Await Salaries

Hyderabad; Employees at Telangana Urdu Academy’s computer centers and libraries have alleged that they have not received salaries for the last nine months, putting them in serious financial distress.
Telangana Urdu Academy Computer Centers and Libraries Employees Welfare Association President Mahmood Ali Afsar said that salaries of around 150 contractual employees in 42 computer centers and 30 libraries have not been paid despite funds being allocated in the 2025-26 Budget. Staff said the crisis has made it difficult to manage children’s education, rent, medical needs and daily expenses, with many struggling even during Ramzan.
The association called on the government to immediately clear the pending salaries to prevent further grievances. He warned that employees may be forced to stage a protest if the issue is not resolved soon. The association emphasized that the staff continues to work devotedly despite the increasing financial pressure and called on the Prime Minister to intervene.
