Trump holds press conference amid Iran war fallout

President Donald Trump held a press conference at his Miami-area golf club.
The president’s comments at the Trump National Doral came hours after he told CBS News that the war against Iran could end soon.
Trump’s speculations caused US stock market indices to rise.
Oil prices rose over the weekend due to fears that the war could drag on and limit the supply of crude oil on world markets.
But crude oil prices fell in extended trading Monday afternoon after Trump said he was considering taking control of the Strait of Hormuz, the world’s most sensitive choke point for oil.
An Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman told CNBC earlier Monday that oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz “must be very careful.”
